In Royal perks tab you can unlock special perks for Royal Points (RP).
Most of those perks persist through soft resets, abdications and ascensions.
There are a few perks that work immediately and give immediate or temporary effects.
Perk | Effect | RP Cost |

Motivation speech | +25% bonus to all buildings for 100 years or until reset | 20 |
Call to arms | convert up to 10 villagers to militia instantly | 10 |
Jester | fill a random resource (except coins) to maximum storage capacity, 50% chance to pick another resource after each filling | 25 |
Most perks give permanent bonuses for every subsequent run.
Single-level-perks:
